James leads Data Insights and Management at Y Royalties,developing advanced systems to analyse, predict, and improve royalty performance. He is driving innovation through cloud technology, automation, and machine learning.

Before joining Y Royalties, James worked at C.C. Young & Co., where he built large-scale data pipelines and analytical tools using AWS and Databricks. His earlier experience includes roles at Universal Music Group and data analytics firms, blending deep technical expertise with genuine industry insight.

James is passionate about using data to create a fairer, more transparent music industry — and about harnessing technology to give creators the clarity they deserve.
